Missions

“…You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Said Jesus in Acts chapter one.

There are people in Rotorua, New Zealand, the Pacific and throughout the world who still need to hear the Gospel. The Gospel or ‘good news’ is life in relationship with God obtained for us by Jesus Christ his Son. The Bible is clear that the message is not just for some ethnic groups (Rev 5:10). God will call individuals from all people groups to be a part of His family. What is also exciting is that Jesus involves us, His imperfect followers, to be part of this.

LostInMumbaiSome of us at Grace have a desire to live long-term in a different country in order that Christ may be better known there, although for this current season we are being His witnesses in Rotorua. Others feel that Rotorua or New Zealand is where they are called to be His ambassadors. Regardless our individual callings we all want to see Christ glorified all over the world.

A proportion of our church donations every month are used to assist in spreading the gospel beyond New Zealand borders. At the moment, most of this is going to support A & J, a couple from another Grace Presbyterian Church. They are based in Mumbai, India. We also support other projects/ministries from time to time. Sporadically we have a “mission spot” during our Sunday gathering and pray frequently for those who know Christ and those who don’t, around the world.
